Personal Website

A personal site built with EmDash and Astro. It brings together an editable introduction, contact links, writing, and a timeline of what is happening now.

What's Included

  • Editable homepage with an avatar and introduction

Editing Homepage Content

Open the Admin at http://localhost:4321/_emdash/admin.

  • Home Page: edit the published homepage entry's name, avatar, and introduction.
  • Contacts: create one entry per contact method. Text is required; Link and Font Awesome Classes are optional. For example, use fa-solid fa-envelope or fa-brands fa-github. Entries with a link open in a new tab; entries without one display as plain text.
  • Events and Periods: these collections are hidden from the Admin sidebar. Open /_emdash/admin/content/events or /_emdash/admin/content/periods directly to edit the data shown on /now. The homepage shows ongoing periods and the three most recent events, with a link to the complete timeline.

Getting Started

pnpm install
pnpm dev

Open http://localhost:4321/_emdash/admin and complete the setup wizard. EmDash runs database migrations and applies the seed during setup. The site is available at http://localhost:4321.
